According to China Three Gorges Europe’s QHSE Integrated Management System, the company prioritizes reaching steady investment, stable operation, and environmental protection to guarantee occupational health and safety eliminating all preventable illnesses and/or injuries due to unplanned events.  CTG Europe is committed to:

  • Promoting the continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System in relation to QHSE performance.

  • Establish and review the objectives of the QHSE Integrated Management System, using the commitments conained in this policy as a reference, and to ensure the provision of resources (in time, skill and funding) and information that are necessary for its attainment.

  • Protect the health of its employees and contractors, and to minimize any adverse impact on the community and the environment from its operations providing safe and healthy working conditions to prevent injuries and health problems.
  • Reach a ‘zero incidents’ working environment, for all company sites.

  • Meet all applicable quality, health & Safety and Environmental requirements, both mandatory and voluntary.

  • Fulfil all its occupational health & safety and environmental legal compliance obligations.

  • Ensure that all specific responsibilities identified in the QHSE Integrated Management System are clearly assigned.

  • Maintain a high level of health & safety and environmental protection. Therefore, the following key elements must be considered by all participants: clear management commitment and support of the adoption of high safety and environmental standards and the fostering of a positive culture of safety and environmental protection at all company sites.

  • Apply besy practices that allow the prevention and reduction of the risks associated with our activity, to minimize our environmental impacts and prevent pollution.

  • Consult with employees and representatives on matters regarding health & safety and to encourage everyone to report health & safety incidents as a means of learning lessons and preventing re-ocurrence of similar incidents.

  • Apply all safety and environmental protection guidelines to both CTGE business units, contractors and other third parties involved in daily activities as well as to implement practical and appropriate working environmental protections and management procedures.

  • Give regular team instructions and training and to maintain the achieved safety performance standards.

  • Monitor, target, audit and assure these QHSE best practices within CTGE and its most important contractors.

  • Proactively share health & safety information and good practice throughout CTGE.

  • Execute emergency planning for foreseeable health & safety and environmental emergencies.
