Environment

China Three Gorges Europe has a number of environmental initiatives in place at its clean energy facilities, which help to protect biodiversity and encourages a harmonious coexistence between the company’s assets and local flora and fauna.

The company is entirely complicit with all relevant environmental regulations and makes sure to reduce, counteract or compensate every possible impact its business and installations may have on the surrounding areas.

Many different species of animals frequent our Spanish solar plants and wind farms. For this reason, we have made sure to create biodiversity-friendly designated areas, such as perches and other burrow-like structures, where they are our of harm’s reach.

Our installations offer also many different drinking sites for local fauna, including artificial ponds created for the purpose and other camouflaged drinking deposits.

We also encourage grazing on the land our projects are located on, and welcome sheep and goats onto both our solar plants and our wind farms.
