China Three Gorges Spain has reached an agreement to acquire 104.5MWp of solar photovoltaic assets in Extremadura (Spain) from Aldesa, a leading company worldwide in infrastructure development with a consolidated position in the renewable energy sector in Spain. The portfolio comprises three PV installations located in the province of Cáceres.

Under an agreement with Aldesa, CTG Spain will purchase the Belvis I (50MWp), Belvis II (50MWp) and Belvis III (4.5MWp) plants at a “ready to build” stage. Construction of the assets is expected to start before the end of this year.

The EPC works will be carried out by Acisa, a technology company belonging to Aldesa group. Acisa will also carry out the operation & maintenance works on all three plants for a period of two years.

The Belvis projects are scheduled to enter commercial operations in the second half of 2023.
